German names for festivals are usually multi-barreled and extremely practical, explaining what the holiday is all about. For instance the German word for Christmas is TrinkinundderpresenzvomderFatman or the German word for Chinese New Year Trinkinunderspitzensparkenundervatchenderblinkinlights. So it is quite a mystery how a festival all about drinking that happens in September got the name Oktoberfest. Anyhoo, strap on your liederhosen or a pair of those funny short pants with suspenders as we shall all be celebrating Oktoberfest on this week's walk. After the walk we will have German Bratwurst, German Weisswurst and Pretzel.

The Walk will be around 5 ish km. There will only be a walk.
